Tooth supported bridge
Another fixed tooth replacement option is a tooth-supported bridge, which uses the existing natural teeth for support. In this procedure, the supporting natural teeth are trimmed to adapt to the fitting of the new teeth.
It is relatively a non-invasive procedure, but the main problem is the grinding of adjacent natural teeth for support and the deposition of food particles under the bridge, making it difficult to clean.
Each method has its own pros and cons, and it all depends upon the patient’s overall oral health, for which a visit to the dentist is a must.
